Jo Vitale is the co-executive director of Kardia, a ministry whose focus is to help people be reconciled to God, with others, and within themselves. Jo has three degrees from the University of Oxford: a bachelor’s degree in theology, a master’s degree in biblical interpretation, and a DPhil (PhD) in Old Testament studies. For her doctoral dissertation she centered her research on the Old Testament’s depiction of women (specifically, female beauty and blame culture). Jo has spoken internationally in a variety of contexts, including at churches, businesses, schools, radio shows, and on the campuses of multiple universities in the US and internationally. Jo and her husband Vince enjoy teaming up for their Ask Away podcast and giving talks together.

Thiago M. Silva, D.Min., is the City Director for the C. S. Lewis Institute Lake Charles. He has been the pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Lake Charles, Louisiana, since August 2022. He earned his Th.M. in Systematic Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary (2016) and completed his doctoral studies at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (2024). He’s authored several articles and books including Discipleship in a Post-Christian Age: With a Little Help from C. S. Lewis (Wipf & Stock, 2025). Thiago’s God-given vocation is to equip people to live as Christians in every sphere of life through teaching and preaching.

Speaker and AuthorVince Vitale was educated at Princeton University and the University of Oxford. He taught philosophy and theology as a faculty member briefly at Princeton and then for several years at Oxford. During his undergraduate studies at Princeton that Vince was challenged to read the Bible by two soccer teammates and took an unexpected journey from skeptic to evangelist. He then completed master’s and PhD studies at Oxford, during which he developed a new response to the problem of evil— “Non-Identity Theodicy.” Alongside his wife Dr. Jo Vitale, Vince now serves as Co-Executive Director of Kardia and hosts the Ask Away podcast. He is also Faculty Scholar at CEO Forum and a host of the Unbelievable? podcast.

Alycia Wood has been an apologist for over twelve years and currently works with Apologetics, Inc. where she is a speaker, writer and podcaster. Her podcast, “Hey Alycia!” aims to help the seeker make sense of Christianity by engaging with tough questions that pose a stumbling block. She has spoken around the world in a range of venues— including Universities, colleges, conferences and churches. Alycia holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Justice. She has written on the topic of Transgenderism in the book, Truth: Lectures from the 2025 Defend Apologetics Conference (Deward publishing, 2025) and on the topic of Intersex at apologetics.org

Christopher Reese (MDiv, ThM) is an accomplished writer, editor, and journalist. He is the founder and editor of The Worldview Bulletin and a general editor of the Dictionary of Christianity and Science (Zondervan, 2017) and Three Views on Christianity and Science (Zondervan, 2021). His work has appeared in Christianity Today, Bible Gateway, Beliefnet, Summit Ministries, and other sites. Christopher got his undergraduate degree in English and History from Jacksonville State. He then obtained his MDiv from Beeson Divinity School and his ThM from Talbot School of Theology.

John R.W. Stott, (1921 – 2011) is known worldwide as a preacher, evangelist and communicator of Scripture. For many years he served as Rector of All Souls Church in London, where he carried out an effective urban pastoral ministry. A leader among evangelicals in Britain, the United States and around the world, Stott was a principal framer of the landmark Lausanne Covenant (1974). His many books, including Why I Am a Christian and The Cross of Christ, have sold millions of copies around the world and in dozens of languages.

Cameron McAllister is Director of Apologetics for the C.S. Lewis Institute. He is also a content director for Reflections Ministries. He cofounded Thinking Out Loud, where he’s a speaker, writer and one half of the Thinking Out Loud podcast, a weekly podcast about current events and Christian hope. He and his father co-authored Faith That Lasts: A Father and Son on Cultivating Lifelong Belief. A staff writer with Christ & Pop Culture, Cameron’s writing has appeared in Christianity Today, Relevant Magazine, Think Christian, and Fathom Magazine. He holds a master’s degree in apologetics from Houston Baptist University. Cameron and his wife Heather live in the Atlanta area with their two children.

William L. "Bill" Kynes is the Senior Fellow for Pastoral Theology at the C.S. Lewis Institute, and retired Senior Pastor of Cornerstone, an Evangelical Free Church, in Annandale, VA, where he served from 1986 - 2022. He majored in Philosophy at the University of Florida, where he also played quarterback and was later inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, receiving an MA in theology. He received an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, before returning to England for a PhD in New Testament from Cambridge University.

Jim Phillips
Senior Fellow for Cross-Cultural DiscipleshipJim Phillips founded the C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009 and is currently a Senior Fellow helping facilitate the discipleship of Believers in Christ from non-Western cultural backgrounds. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an AV-8A Harrier pilot and in the corporate world as an information technology executive. He received an MLA from St. John’s College, Annapolis, Maryland, a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology and Religion, Oxford University, UK, and a PhD in Islamic Studies from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies/Middlesex University, Oxford, UK. Board Member CSLIKerry A. Knott, CSLI Board Member, formerly served as President (May 2010 – Jan 2015) of the C.S. Lewis Institute. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Marketing. He recently retired from his position as the chief of staff for Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL.) Prior to that, he ran Knott Strategies, LLC, a consulting service focused on public policy, faith and culture. Knott notably helped create “At The Table,” a new event series designed to bring influential people together across industries to address important cultural and policy issues. He is a co-author of the Aslan Academy Parents Guidebook: Helping Parents Disciple Their Children Pre-K Through Teen Years.
